About me

Hi, I’m Nick

I capture natural, joyful images for couples who don’t like posing…

Perhaps you are a bit camera-shy and want to avoid those artificial, cheesy posed shots? If you are looking for an unobtrusive presence who will still magically appear at all the genuine key moments, look no further. With 20 years of experience behind me, you can be confident that I am a good pair of hands to tell the story of your wedding day!

When I’m not behind the camera, you might find me exploring the Cotswolds with my family: my lovely wife, Amy, and our mischievous toddler, Charlie. Not forgetting our handsome, proud, chonky British Blue Shorthair cat, Claude (who is, admittedly, less keen on the walks.)

How I got into wedding photography

My passion for photography began when I received my first SLR camera at the age of 8, and ever since I’ve been obsessed by taking photos of pretty much everything – but especially people.

One of my other main passions is travel, and my style is very influenced by street photography projects, using natural light and finding creative compositions to reveal beauty and interest in the everyday.

Having studied photography at university, I have been working in the industry ever since: I currently work part-time as a photographer for Oxford University – but my weekends are dedicated to capturing the beautiful chaos of weddings, and I honestly couldn’t be happier!

Some things about me!

I’m obsessed with travel. Like many people I suppose! My fave places I’ve visited so far are - Vietnam, Greece and India.

I’m a (not-so-secret) foodie! I love street food (as well as street photography!) - especially Vietnamese & Nepalese.

I love ‘90s music and House (much to the despair of my wife…)

I love a craft beer – even some of those traditional ales when the time is right!

I am a shameless addict of Rightmove, and an official property geek. I’m not even wistfully searching for dream properties… I know all about the tedious real-life elements of moving - like mortgages, stamp duty, conveyancing… and everything in between. And I love it.

I am a cinema fanatic, and love watching (most) films (although my last cinema trip to see Peppa Pig Party with toddler in tow was a bit less entertaining for me…)

Nick was our wedding photographer and he was fantastic. His ability to capture the essence of our day discreetly was exactly what we wanted. He blended into the background, snapping natural, joyful moments while also nailing the group shots we requested. Nick’s relaxed style not only made everyone comfortable but also brought out the best in every shot. He worked hard for hours on the day, which we really appreciated.
